Common questions
Is browsing really free?
Yes. Anyone can browse all approved listings on OverlandList without creating an account. An account is only required to list a vehicle, save favorites, or contact a seller.
What's the difference between a Featured Boost and Pro Membership?
A Featured Boost is a one-time, per-listing promotion ($9.99 for 14 days) — purchased for a specific listing, never auto-renewed. Pro Membership is a monthly subscription ($19.99/mo) that continuously features one of your active listings, renewing automatically so you don't have to repurchase.
When can I purchase a Featured Boost?
A Featured Boost is available after your listing is approved by the OverlandList team. You choose the specific listing to promote. The 14-day window starts only after verified payment — not at submission.
Does Pro Membership require an active listing?
No. Pro Membership is available to all registered members, including buyers who aren't currently selling. The continuous featured-listing benefit applies when you have an approved active listing. If your listing sells, you can assign the slot to another eligible listing or simply retain your membership.
What are the future Pro member perks?
We're building toward exclusive gear offers and brand partnerships as the OverlandList community grows. No specific brands, discount amounts, or promo codes are confirmed yet — these are planned future benefits, not current inclusions.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Free accounts can add a Featured Boost to any approved listing, start a Pro Membership, or apply for a Dealer Account — all from your account dashboard at any time.
How does Dealer approval work?
Dealer applications are reviewed by the OverlandList team before any storefront or subscription is activated. We review your business details to maintain marketplace quality. Billing begins only after approval.
Will a paid plan give me admin access?
No. No paid plan — Featured Boost, Pro Membership, or Dealer Account — grants moderation or administrator privileges. Security roles are entirely separate from billing.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your account, listing history, and private messages are never deleted due to a billing change. Paid entitlements (Pro featured slot, Dealer storefront) end at the close of your paid billing period. Full terms will be clearly disclosed before any subscription is activated.
